  • eNACSO provides opportunities for and lead on the exchange of information, strategies, and approaches between the network members and partners through meetings, conferences, email and internet.
  • eNACSO develops and adopt policy positions, recommendations and briefings based on the results of this exchange.
  • eNACSO supports members to identify ways to influence national governments.
  • The network members attend national and international meetings, conferences and events to present and promote eNACSO policies and recommendations.
  • The network members are able to provide speaking engagement and arrange workshops on our thematic areas at national and international events.

eNACSO Agenda for Action

eNACSO launched their Agenda for Action on 6 of May 2010. The policy paper describes the new challenges of Child Online Protection and includes recommendations to governments, industry and other stakeholders on how to create a safer online environment for children and young people. The Challenges of location based services

In a document from March 2010, eNACSO draws up main issues and concerns in relation to the new breed of location based services - and advocates for a new EU wide code to protect children. Download the document

Questions and answers on blocking

Child abuse material has rapidly increased in prevalence on the Internet, and the severity of the abuse shown in the images is worsening.

Therefore eNACSO welcomes Article 18 "Blocking access to websites containing child pornography" of the European Commission's proposal of 25th March 2009 for a revised Council Framework Decision 'on combating sexual abuse, sexual exploitation of children and chils pornography'.

eNACSO Conference: Protecting Children Online

On 6th of May 2010 eNACSO hosted an international conference in Brussels. The conference brought together people from the European Parliament, Industry, and NGOs to discuss the challenges of Child Online Protection. The keynote speach by Cecilia Malmström, European Commissioner for Home Affairs, preceeded three panel discussion about burning issues on the child right's agenda.

EuroDIG 2010 The Pan-European dialogue on Internet governance

EuroDIG is an open platform for discussion and exchange on public policy issues related to Internet Governance. The third EuroDIG was held  29-30 April 2010 in Madrid. eNACSO was invited to be at the discussion panel in one of the seven thematic workshops called Children and Social Media - opportunities and risks, rules and responsibilities. eNACSO  Read the program

Internet Governance Forum 2009

The annual Internet Governance Forum took place 14-18. November 2009 in Sharm el Sheik, Egypt. eNACSO members took part in the IGF with the aim of creating visibility of the issues of Child Online Protection. eNACSO hosted a pre-event event with panel discussion and members of eNACSO participated in two plenary sessions. ITU Telecom World 2009

The International Telecommunication Union held its annual world wide event 6-7. October 2009, Geneva. The event addressed global challenges in today’s information society, and the role of telecommunications and ICT in areas of societal change such as the digital divide, climate change, and disaster relief. eNACSO was invited to moderate a workshop on Child Online Protection.ITU World Telecom 2009

Safer Internet Conference Warsaw

The annual Safer Internet Conference 29-30. September 2009 in Warsaw had around 500 participants from all over Europe.  ENACSO gave two presentations at the plenary sessions, namely “Influencing the political agenda” and “Internet of Things – challenges in child online protection”.
